The Women in the Outdoors Program is dedicated to providing interactive
Educational outdoor opportunities for women ages 14 and older. Throughout the nation local chapters conduct learning events featuring hands on educational activities of all types.
The Women in the Outdoors program supports both hunting, and non-hunting activities. All Women in the Outdoors members do not necessarily participate in the act of hunting. However, it is our hope that by increased exposure to the sport through quality educational programs, all women attendees will form a better understanding of the importance that shooting sports, ethical hunting and scientific wildlife management go hand in hand in our ongoing conservation efforts.
The Chain-O-Lakes Gobblers is a 5 Star chapter and because of that our outreach program allows us to award local scholarship funds to graduating high school seniors. We have given out scholarships to a Lake county high school student the last 2 years. Our first year was $250.00 and this year we were able to give $500.00. Hopefully next May we can do better.
Another outstanding WITO event for 2006. Their 5th Chain-O-Lakes Gobblers event at Circle C Hunt Club in Groveland. Hand gun competition, Archery, Motorcycles, ATVs, Skeet, Snakes and much more. Check out the photos.

Learning new skills, meeting people with similar interests and kicking back in the great outdoors is what the NWTF's Women in the Outdoors program is all about.
Today millions of women across the country are discovering that camping, hiking, fishing, hunting, shooting, canoeing, boating and bird watching are fun and relaxing. And the number of women involved in these outdoor activities is growing.
You can learn these skills at one of the many events offered by the Women in the Outdoors program, which are being held throughout the U.S. The NWTF's state and local chapters offer one-day events that are low cost, will fit into your busy schedule and are hosted at some of the most beautiful outdoor education sites in the country.
Get in on the fun and excitement now. Join and you’ll get the inside track to all of the fun events as they come to your area as well as receive four issues of the program's award-winning magazine, Women In The Outdoors.
